This app includes banner, interstitial, and reward ads. Users can remove the adverts by purchasing subscription. This page is used to inform website/app users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service. If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect are used for providing and improving the Service.we will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy. App Required Permissions
Fast Dictionary apps only ask for a permission when you use the feature that needs it. If you decline, only that feature is turned off and the rest of the app keeps working. You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.
Fast Dictionary does not need and does not request access to your location, contacts, calendar, messages or calls.
Camera
Used for live camera translation and translating text in images, and to turn on the flashlight in low light. Text recognition happens on your device; the image is not sent to or stored on Fast Dictionary servers. Only the recognized text is sent for translation.
Photos
To translate the text in a photo, you pick it with your system's photo picker. The app can only see the photo you choose, not your whole library.
Microphone and speech recognition
Used for voice search and voice translation. Your voice is passed to the system speech recognition service (Google on Android, Apple on iOS) to turn it into text. Fast Dictionary does not record or store it.
Notifications
Used for flashcard review reminders and news about updates and new features. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
Advertising identifier
Used to show more relevant ads and measure ad performance. On iOS it is only used with your permission (App Tracking Transparency); on Android you can delete or reset it in your device's Google settings. Subscribers do not see ads.
Internet and network state (Wi-Fi and connectivity)
Used for online pronunciations, the AI translator, login, purchases, syncing My Words and other features that need the internet, and to know whether you are online. It is not used to identify your network or location.
In-app purchases
Used to buy a subscription through Google Play, Cafe Bazaar or the App Store.
Vibration
Used for short haptic feedback, for example when taking a photo to translate or reviewing flashcards.
Run in the background and prevent the device from sleeping
Used to receive notifications, schedule reminders and finish short tasks such as syncing, even when the app is closed.
Security
Any personally identifiable information collected through this site and apps is stored on limited-access servers. We will maintain safeguards to protect these servers and the information they store. In addition, we store all sensitive data and information encrypted.
